Recent Customer Publications
We are halfway through November, and it’s hard to believe how fast the holidays are approaching. Today, we wanted to recognize recent customer publications all over the world, from China to Australia and back to the United States. Congratulations to all who published, and we hope to see many more through the end of the year!
- Mark Wurfel, Christine Hsu, Carmen Mikacenic and Paramita Mukherjee of the University of Washington and colleagues published Associations between single nucleotide polymorphisms in the FAS pathway and acute kidney injury in Critical Care which sought to identify associations between SNPs in Fas pathway genes and the development of acute kidney injury.
- Mauricio Arcos-Burgos and Cluadio Mastronardi of the Australian National University, along with colleagues, published A Mutation in DAOA Modifies the Age of Onset in PSEN1 E280A Alzheimer’s Disease in Neural Plasticity. This study used whole-exome genotyping to confirm the existence of an AOO modifier mutation in the DAOA gene.
- Circadian regulation gene polymorphisms are associated with sleep disruption and duration, and circadian phase and rhythm in adults with HIV was published in the Journal of Biological and Medical Rhythm Research by Bradley Aouizerat and colleagues from UCSF. The purpose of this study was to describe polymorphisms in selected circadian genes that are associated with sleep duration.
- In the American Journal of Medical Genetics, Hyun Sub Cheong of SNP Genetics, Inc and colleagues published Genome-wide association study with the risk of schizophrenia in a Korean population which performed GWAS to identify schizophrenia susceptibility loci.
- Semon Wu of the Chinese Culture University, along with his colleagues, published Effects of obesity on the association between common variations in the TBX5 gene and matrix metalloproteinase 9 levels in Taiwanese in the Tzu Chi Medical Journal which tried to elucidate the role of TBX5 gene polymorphisms in metabolic and inflammatory profiles.
- High-density interspecific genetic linkage mapping provides insights into genomic incompatibility between channel catfish and blue catfish was published in Animal Genetics by Zhanjiang Liu of Auburn University and colleagues. In this study, the team constructed a high-density genetic linkage map using the hybrid catfish system with the catfish 250K SNP array.
