Alison Figueira

Alison Figueira is a Software Engineer at Golden Helix, joining the team in December of 2014. Alison graduated from Montana State University in May 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and two minors, one in Japanese Studies and the other in Statistics. Ashley Hintz

Ashley Hintz is a Field Application Scientist at Golden Helix Inc., having joined the team in April of 2014. Prior to GHI, Ashley worked at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum as a Genetics Laboratory and Museum Research Technician on a project looking into the disease ecology of African rodents and ectoparasites. She also has previous experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Southern Illinois University where she attended as a Masters in Zoology student researching the phylogenetics of planigales. Andrew Jesaitis

Andrew Jesaitis joined Golden Helix as a Software Engineer in 2011. He is currently the Project Manager of VarSeq, Golden Helix's variant annotation and filtering tool. Prior to GHI, Andrew worked at Goldman Sachs as a Financial Analyst where he modeled portfolio risk. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Math and Economics from Whitman College. Andreas Scherer

Dr. Andreas Scherer has managed global software and services businesses working for publicly traded companies such as Netscape and AOL as well as privately held companies. As part of his academic work, he has developed algorithms to conduct DNA sequence analysis. In the last decade, he has focused on accelerating R&D processes of Fortune 500 pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies. As a result of this work, he is intimately familiar with the domestic and international life sciences market. Dr. Scherer holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Hagen, Germany, and a Master of Computer Science from the University of Dortmund, Germany. He is author and co- author of over 20 international publications and has written books on project management, the Internet, and artificial intelligence. His latest book, “Be Fast Or Be Gone,” is a prizewinner in the 2012 Eric Hoffer Book Awards competition and has been named a finalist in the 2012 Next Generation Indie Book Awards. Bryce Christensen

Dr. Bryce Christensen fills two roles at Golden Helix as he is both the Director of Services as well as a Statistical Geneticist. Bryce joined GHI in 2009 from the University of Utah where he earned his PhD in Genetic Epidemiology and Biomedical Informatics. Before undertaking his graduate studies, Bryce worked for 2 years as a data analyst at Mayo Clinic in the Division of Biostatistics. Christophe Lambert

Dr. Christophe Lambert is the Chairman of Golden Helix, Inc., a bioinformatics software and services company he founded in Bozeman, MT, USA in 1998. Dr. Lambert graduated with his Bachelors in Computer Science from Montana State University in 1992 and received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Duke University in 1997. Cheryl Rogers

Cheryl Rogers joined Golden Helix in May 2010 and is the Director of Marketing at Golden Helix and as such, she is responsible for creating a comprehensive marketing, communications, and public relations strategy to position the company in the life sciences marketplace and ensure a consistently full sales funnel to meet and exceed revenue goals. Greta Linse Peterson

Greta Peterson is Golden Helix’s Director of Services. Her main duty is managing the Field Application Scientist and Customer Support teams. Greta and her team is also responsible for software quality control, ensuring that the software releases are subject to the most rigorous testing protocols and for all the technical documentation and tutorials. In addition, Greta writes Python scripts for extending SVS functionality and conducts software demonstrations and training for customers and prospects. Greta joined Golden Helix in 2008 when she completed her Masters degree in both Mathematics and Statistics at Montana State University in Bozeman. Gabe Rudy

Meet Gabe Rudy, GHI’s Vice President of Product and Engineering and team member since 2002. Gabe thrives in the dynamic and fast-changing field of bioinformatics and genetic analysis. Leading a killer team of Computer Scientists and Statisticians in building powerful products and providing world-class support, Gabe puts his passion into enabling Golden Helix’s customers to accelerate their research. Jami Bartole

Jami Bartole came aboard Golden Helix in 2012 as their Technical Support Representative. Prior to that, Jami worked at the University of Montana – Helena College as a Mathematics Instructor and at the Montana Department of Justice as a Quality Assurance Auditor. Jami completed her Masters in Mathematics from Montana State University – Bozeman and her BS in Mathematics from Montana Tech – Butte. James Grover

James Grover was hired as Golden Helix' third employee ten years ago and is still with the company today. He is a Senior Mathematician and Computer Engineer whose job is to enhance and maintain SVS through implementing state-of-the-art algorithm as software code, both in the core product and in scripts. James has a Masters in Applied Math from California Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Golden Helix, James did software programming for a scientific contracting company and for a non-profit organization. In his free time, he enjoys singing and playing the clarinet. Jennae Liberty

Jennae Liberty is Vice President of Operations, Finance & Human Resources at Golden Helix. After graduating in 2000 from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Jennae worked in banking with experience in consumer lending and operations management. Joining Golden Helix in 2006, Jennae is accountable for budgeting and accounting, HR strategy, employee development and resourcing, benefits and keeping the proverbial wheels on the bus. Mary Makris

Mary Makris joined Golden Helix in March 2015 as the Marketing Coordinator. Mary graduated from the University of Montana in May 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Marketing and a minor in Psychology. She is responsible for executing marketing strategies, maintaining the company's social media and web presence, and assisting in all other areas of the marketing department. Nathan Fortier

Nathan Fortier joined the Golden Helix development team in June of 2014. Nathan obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Montana Tech University in May 2011 and received a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Montana State University in May 2014. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. from Montana State University. Nathan works on data curation, script development, and product code. When not working, Nathan enjoys hiking and playing music. Rudy Parker

Rudy Parker joined Golden Helix in 2001 as a Senior Account Manager. His job is to convey the company software products and services benefits to prospective customers, and provide training/technical support where needed. Rudy is happy when the customer is happy, and he won’t leave a stone unturned before that is achieved. Prior to joining Golden Helix, Rudy worked for Golden Ratio. He also worked in the Dutch navy for 5 years, prior to moving to the USA in 1990, and is now a US Citizen.
