Andrew Jesaitis is a Software Engineer at Golden Helix, focusing on their NGS secondary analysis pipeline built in conjunction with EA. Prior to GHI, Andrew worked at Goldman Sachs as a Financial Analyst and at Montana State University as a Research Assistant. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Math and Economics from Whitman College. Dr. Andreas Scherer has managed global software and services businesses working for publicly traded companies such as Netscape and AOL as well as privately held companies. As part of his academic work, he has developed algorithms to conduct DNA sequence analysis. In the last decade, he has focused on accelerating R&D processes of Fortune 500 pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies. As a result of this work, he is intimately familiar with the domestic and international life sciences market.
Dr. Scherer holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Hagen, Germany, and a Master of Computer Science from the University of Dortmund, Germany. He is author and co- author of over 20 international publications and has written books on project management, the Internet, and artificial intelligence. His latest book, “Be Fast Or Be Gone,” is a prizewinner in the 2012 Eric Hoffer Book Awards competition and has been named a finalist in the 2012 Next Generation Indie Book Awards. Dr. Bryce Christensen fills two roles at Golden Helix as he is both the Director of Services as well as a Statistical Geneticist. Bryce joined GHI in 2009 from the University of Utah where he earned his PhD in Genetic Epidemiology and Biomedical Informatics. Before undertaking his graduate studies, Bryce worked for 2 years as a data analyst at Mayo Clinic in the Division of Biostatistics. Chelsey Clayton joined Golden Helix as a Marketing Assistant in late 2013. Chelsey holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Montana State University - Bozeman. Dr. Christophe Lambert is the Chairman of Golden Helix, Inc., a bioinformatics software and services company he founded in Bozeman, MT, USA in 1998. Dr. Lambert graduated with his Bachelors in Computer Science from Montana State University in 1992 and received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Duke University in 1997. Cheryl Rogers joined Golden Helix in May 2010 as the Sales Coordinator. In this role, she supports the sales process including issuing software licenses, managing our customer database, and scheduling training sessions. Additionally, she plans and coordinates customer on-location workshops as well as providing various marketing support when needed. Greta Linse Peterson
Greta Peterson is Golden Helix’s Director of Product Management and Quality and as such, Greta is quite busy. Her main duty is managing SNP & Variation Suite (SVS) from strategic planning to tactical activities, including defining market requirements and working with developers to ensure timely releases. On the "Quality" side, she is responsible for software testing, quality control, and maintaining technical documentation. In addition to those duties, Greta also manages Golden Helix's Technical Support team, writes Python scripts for extending SVS functionality, and conducts software training for customers and prospects.
Greta joined Golden Helix in 2008 when she completed her Masters degree in both Mathematics and Statistics at Montana State University in Bozeman. When Greta is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and hiking the surrounding areas of Bozeman. Read posts by this author »
Meet Gabe Rudy, GHI’s Vice President of Product Development and team member since 2002. Gabe thrives in the dynamic and fast-changing field of bioinformatics and genetic analysis. Leading a killer team of Computer Scientists and Statisticians in building powerful products and providing world-class support, Gabe puts his passion into enabling Golden Helix’s customers to accelerate their research. Jami Bartole came aboard Golden Helix in 2012 as their Technical Support Representative. Prior to that, Jami worked at the University of Montana – Helena College as a Mathematics Instructor and at the Montana Department of Justice as a Quality Assurance Auditor. Jami completed her Masters in Mathematics from Montana State University – Bozeman and her BS in Mathematics from Montana Tech – Butte. Josh Forsythe is the Vice President of Business Development and Marketing at Golden Helix. Josh joined GHI in 2004 after obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing at Montana State University. Josh helps establish and manage the company’s strategy on sales, marketing and product. He ensures that Golden Helix's customers have the tools and resources necessary to complete their research. In his position, Josh enjoys helping to design cutting edge software tools that solve complex analytical problems and leading a team that prides itself on satisfied customers. Josh takes every advantage of the greater Gallatin Valley’s wide open space whether it is skiing, mountain biking, running, disc golf or golf. James Grover was hired as Golden Helix' third employee ten years ago and is still with the company today. He is a Senior Mathematician and Computer Engineer whose job is to enhance and maintain SVS through implementing state-of-the-art algorithm as software code, both in the core product and in scripts. James has a Masters in Applied Math from California Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Golden Helix, James did software programming for a scientific contracting company and for a non-profit organization. In his free time, he enjoys singing and playing the clarinet. Jennae Liberty is Vice President of Operations, Finance & Human Resources at Golden Helix. After graduating in 2000 from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Jennae worked in banking with experience in consumer lending and operations management. Joining Golden Helix in 2006, Jennae is accountable for budgeting and accounting, HR strategy, employee development and resourcing, benefits and keeping the proverbial wheels on the bus. Jessica Vionas is the Director of Marketing at Golden Helix and as such, she is responsible for creating a comprehensive marketing, communications, and public relations strategy to position the company in the life sciences marketplace and ensure a consistently full sales funnel to meet and exceed revenue goals. Prior to joining Golden Helix in May of 2010, Jessica worked for eight years in the marketing department at a credit evaluation software company based in Bozeman. She received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Montana State University in 2006. When not at the office, Jessica enjoys playing with her dog Athena, reading marketing books, and spending time with her friends and family, preferably in the bright sunshine of Montana. Rudy Parker joined Golden Helix in 2001 as a Senior Account Manager. His job is to convey the company software products and services benefits to prospective customers, and provide training/technical support where needed. Rudy is happy when the customer is happy, and he won’t leave a stone unturned before that is achieved. Prior to joining Golden Helix, Rudy worked for Golden Ratio. He also worked in the Dutch navy for 5 years, prior to moving to the USA in 1990, and is now a US Citizen.
